Be-Light pupils sit in on Ghana's 9th Parliament

Pupils of Be-Light International School visited Parliament House in Accra to observe the 14th Sitting of the 1st Meeting of the 2nd Session of the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana, and to learn more about Ghana's legislative process.

The school represented the Kpone Katamanso constituency with 91 pupils, the highest number by any school during the session, led by the headteacher, Mr. Cyril Agbeh.

During the tour the pupils sat in the public gallery alongside schools from across the country to watch the debates, spoke with parliamentary staff, and toured key sections of the complex. The visit was arranged to deepen their understanding of governance, leadership and civic responsibility.

Speaking from the chair, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, noticed the school's name on the pupils' uniforms and told the gallery that they were all invited to be the light.
