Our youngest graduates take the stage

For most of our kindergarten pupils, graduation day is the first time they have stood on a stage in front of a crowd.

Dressed in green gown and cap, they collected their certificates one by one and held them up for the cameras. Some managed a wave. Others held on tightly to a teacher's hand the whole way.

They move up to Basic 1 reading simple sentences and, just as importantly, believing they belong in a classroom.
