Be-Light takes children the whole way, from their first year in creche to the national exams at the end of Junior High. Each stage is built on the one before it, taught by teachers who follow a child across years rather than a single term.
Early Years
First steps away from home, in a room built for play, rest and gentle routine.
Our youngest children learn through play, song and structured rest. Carers focus on speech, motor skills and the confidence to separate happily from a parent at the gate.
Early Years
Letters, numbers and confidence. The year our pupils learn how to be learners.
Kindergarten builds phonics, early numeracy and the habits of school life. Children finish the stage reading simple sentences, counting with understanding, and ready for the demands of Basic 1.
Basic 1 to 6
The national curriculum taught practically, with room for music, dance and sport.
Core subjects are taught through practical work rather than copying from the board. Alongside them every child takes part in music, cultural dance and our drumming corps, because confidence is built as much on a stage as at a desk.
JHS 1 to 3
Focused preparation for the BECE, with the leadership grounding to go with it.
Junior High is structured around BECE preparation, with regular assessment and honest reporting to parents. Pupils also take on responsibility inside the school, so they leave able to speak up, organise themselves and lead others.
