Cultural Day: kente, drums and dance

Cultural Day is the day the whole school moves. Every level performs, and every child takes part.
Pupils danced in full traditional costume, from the youngest classes through to Junior High, backed by our own drumming corps. Parents filled the seats around the field and stayed long after the last performance.
Beyond the spectacle, the day does real work. Children who are shy in a classroom find their feet on a field in front of a crowd, and that confidence follows them back into lessons.
